Default Game Maker games onto PSP

Just wondering would it be possible. Alot of people make games from this software gamemaker.nl would it be possible to convert or port a finished game to PSP format (eboot) ?

well, it makes m' in exe format, and the only thing we would be able to get from that wuld be the structure. we wouldnt be able to get the source which would let us build it with the pspsdk.

at least thats at i think

No it wouldn't. In the TOS, it says you can't decompile the .exe and to port to another console, you need to decompile it.

well who needs .exes? what you could do is something they did for GM-Java, simply (well its not THAT simple) write an engine that loads the .Gm6 file and runs it.

I bet enough study of a .gm6 file might prove some results... but isnt it harder to draw images on a psp then it looks?

EDIT: Game maker can save to .exe but it also saves to .gm6 files, a smaller editable file you probably dont even need to decompile...

I want this too, i would donate blood through my eye for it.

I guess porting a game is alot harder than i assumed it was. I thought it was nothing more than compiling the code to an eboot or something.

technically you can complile gamemaker code into other things as well (i believe). Like if you compile to something that ends with .scr you can use it as a windows screensaver.

    Probably not that simple though...

OK i am having contact with a person that is doing about most of the project! it is called LGM

www.ismavatar.com/lgm she is programming a whole open source game maker that can open GMK (GM 7 files) GM6 (self explanitory) and GM 5, I think. And can save as GM6 only, so far. It also has a compiler. The site above has an older version of LGM so check out this place: http://enigma-dev.org/

I dont know what it compiles to, yet, but will find out and IF, it compiles to java (.jar) the psp can emulate it!!!! So, if it doesnt compile to Java, there could be an add on made...

    Thumbs up Re

OK, we are hot on the topic now. http://www.ismavatar.com/lgm AND http://www.g-java.com/doku.php can compile ot java. now we just need to either make them compile to EBOOT.PSP or need an app for the psp that can open java files.

UPDATE: I found something interesting: http://pspcustomfirmware.com/psp-hom...ew-creator.htm it is like gamemaker but can compile into .pbp
