The disk drive only illuminates upon start up on the machine, and/or when the wii has received Wii mail be it from Nintendo or a Wii friend. Hope that helps.

Disk Drive Light?
I have had a wii for a while now.
When its on, my disk tray doesnt light up, ive seen wii's in shops and things and its lit up all the time. Should it be lit all the time?
