    Default Awesome!

GTA 1 collectors edition now works with sped up loading and analog controls, good stuff! Have tried it on all previous versions to no avail.

    Thanks DAX and ty Sony!

    Cheers

Dark_AleX has yet again released another great custom firmware for the PSP, and again supporting the latest official firmware from Sony, combined with homebrew! Read the readme for installation instructions.

    Changelog:

    - Updated from psp firmware 3.10 to 3.30
    - Fixed a bug that could have caused inestability in 3.10 OE after recovering from sleep mode.
    - Patched a protection that prevents the firmware to load higher firmware modules.

popsloader note: it won't work on 3.30 OE due to sony rearranging again the module list of pspbtcnf_pops.
(thanks sony for destroying my backwards compatibility again ¬¬ ).
I'll make a new version one of these days to support all current pops in 3.30 OE, 3.10 OE and
    maybe 3.03 OE-C.

    Download via attachment and comment!

NOTE: Some people seem to think that POPS doesn't work in this version. This is NOT the case. It's just the popsloader for loading 3.00-3.10 POPS that doesn't work. Dark_AleX is working on a new POPSloader.

    Aside from:
    - Fixed a bug that could have caused inestability in 3.10 OE after recovering from sleep mode.(I experience this pretty much every time i put my psp to sleep)
It looks like there's VERY little reason to upgrade from 3.10 to 3.3? I guess the ONLY reason would be for psp games that require 3.3?

the only issue I have is my previously installed and ran under 3.10OE-A2 "Burnout Dominator" ISO.

just starts loading, screen goes black then about 15-20secs later power lite goes out. I have to pull the battery before it with reboot.

other than that perfect! (so far)
Try forcing your psp to run at a higher clock in the recovery menu.

I (think i) know the problem
it is/was the same problem by mine psp with the TDU promo
er'thing you got to do is to go to the recovery and enable "execute BOOT.BIN in UMD/ISO" you got to disable it again if you want to play something else (like a UMD for example)

i've had the same problem (apart from going from 3.10OE-A2, i recoverd to 1.5 then upgraded to 3.30OE-A) and sometimes have to open and close the umd drive to get it to load but sometimes works like that and sometimes just doesn't work it just goes blank after awhile am going to check them again using USBSSS

    Question Video-oriented questions

So, I hate to sound like a noob, but I want to try and get this clarified:
    • POPS functions (some games improved, some games got worse)
    • If crashing in the Network menu occurs, resetting to Factory Settings should fix it
    • Standard homebrew functions
    • Advanced POPS settings (loading speed options, etc) function
    • SOME topmenus work, but not all

However, do we know what the story with video is?
    • Do existing "hacked" 480x272 videos still work (IE: full-res videos for 3.10 OE-A')
    • Do 480x272 videos in a standard (unhacked) MPEG-4 wrapper work?
    • Are any of the advanced video functions unlocked?

I understand that 3.30 was rather complex, and due to its large size left D_A little wiggle room, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried any of this.

Nice one. All done in less than 5 mins....

    3.10 OE-A to 3.30 OE-A

    No probs with Burnout Dominator

Don't seem to have the T-Mobile HotSpot option though, perhaps coz it's a UK version and we haven't been given that little bonus.

Looks stable, and another TRIUMPH for Dark Alex and his GURU buddies.....THANK YOU ALL !!!!

    :-)
