here, as for gps status to change

ENABLESERIALPORT (0 or 1): enable when you're using a generic GPS receiver.

change in to 1 in yr config

if u r using gps 290 set it to the value '0'

Ok I said my fw is 5.00m33-6 phat and yes I press the [ ] to turn on the gps... it doesn’t seem to pick up on any signal. and when I go to gps status it said its OFF... i do put the gps on before starting the program and I do leave it on to try to get a signal... I went out side for an hour to see if it would come up without turning off the gps ON screen.

It should turn on as soon as you insert the receiver in.I have the same problem with a Phat. The GPS works with the Slim, but stays off in the Phat.It is something I have been trying to solve for a while now,but with no luck...

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the new 5.00m33 doesn’t have the kb folder in flash0 anymore??? Possible...?

In any case if i cant get it working by Friday i am downgrading to firmware 3.03 oe

Try it.Downgrade to 3.71 and see if it works.Use Recovery Flasher for this.
