MAPTHIS! Always freezing after 4 secs?

My brothers PSP is a TA-082, 4 secs into mapthis! my psp would freeze. Why is this happening? mapthis works fine on my PSP. His PSP is on firmware 3.40 OE-A like mine and he has the same usbacc.prx, usbgps.prx and settings as me.

Q: Mapthis! won't start, what’s wrong?
A: Make sure you are running the 1.50 kernel and that you copied the right EBOOT in the right place.(This app has only been tested with 3.03 OE firmware not 2.71 SE)

Could this be caused by the memory stick? my brothers memory stick is a regular sandisk and mine is an ultra ll. I took my memory stick and tried it on his PSP and it worked just fine. Then I copied the mapviewer folder from my memory stick to his memory stick and it still has the same problem on his memory stick :/
