Sega has announced that owners of Total War: Rome 2 will receive early access to Creative Assembly's Total War: Arena.
Revealed at GDC in March, the studio's first free-to-play game will focus entirely on online multiplayer, mixing elements of RTS and MOBA gameplay.
Total War: Rome 2 buyers will get advanced Total War: Arena beta access, exclusive in-game bonuses and approximately $15 of in-game currency.
Sega says Total War: Arena will offer players the chance to "pitch history's greatest commanders and their armies against each other in massive team-based battles". A release window hasn't been announced.
Sega has confirmed a global Total War: Rome 2 release date of September 3, as well as a collector's edition of the game and pre-order bonuses.
Early purchasers will gain access to day-one DLC in the form of the Greek States Culture pack. It will feature three additional playable factions (Epirus, Athens and Sparta), taking the total to 12.
