Default PSP-290 isn't working for my TA-086 or 82 PSP.

My GPS-290 doesn't work with my TA-086 or 82 PSP. Everytime I run mapthis and go to GPS Info it always says GPS STATE: OFF. I've fixed my USBHost and I fixed my ID Storage. Why isn't it working? MapThis! works on my non TA-082 PSP why doesn't it work for this? BTW: This is for my brother.

    Thanks

have you modified the config.txt FAKEFEED=0
are you pushing the square button to turn it on?

have you tried using the gps test utility? does it work?

have you tried using the key cleaner?

when you plug in your psp does it detect it as a psp? or just removeble storage? can you us irshell's usbhost? or does it also error out?

    Yeah my FAKEFEED is 0.

I never tried Key Cleaner because I don't know how to work it and I'm scared it might brick my PSP. So could you please tell me how to use Key Cleaner?

    Thanks

what happens when you do the gps test utility? does it see any satellites? If you run keycleaner, it will give you a key status, what does it say?

key cleaner won't brick your PSP. It comes with a readme explaining everything.

actually, I believe it is possible it can, since it writes to the flash, but it is very unlikely.....
