Default Retired DIV,Fenix programmer. Need info :)

Hi all. I've heard about Fenix DC a long time ago, but it seems that it's finally working . For me a reason to start working with Fenix again.

My question is, is the Fenix DC version available yet? I can't find it anywhere and there is almost no information about compiling your own stuff for Fenix DC. Do I use the normal compiler and add that 1st_read.bin to it or what? I want info .

I've set up a temporary help page with all files needed at http://www.atarikee.com/fenix

Everything you need will be there. Enjoy!

Well, check Div-Arena.com and search on Htbaa or Christiaan Kras (I'm ashamed of those games... ). You'll also find a game called Trix over there, it was for the FPG competition over there. I got it converted to Fenix and it almost works perfect, but after level 2 the level number won't increase. I might just port that game but I'm not sure. First I'm going to burn some of the examples and then I'll create some of my own, if time will allow it .

As did I. Looks like you made some pretty sweet games. I'm going to download Space Bugs and give that a try, since I'm such an old-school shooter fan (and am working on one myself)

Don't expect too much from it. Back in those days I just started programming. I wonder what I'm capable of now. I have gained a lot of programming expirience in the last 2 years so I can't wait to try the Dreamcast version of Fenix.

I think the only thing it really needs is a speedup on the player's missile speed variable and a missile heat gauge. The latter would make the player unable to fire if it overheated.

Other than that, it's not too bad. As I said, I like most old-school shooters

You really should try Trix. I myself never seen the concept of the game anywhere else and if it get worked out good it can be a splendid game. It's quite easy, so I think I'll be doing that for the Dreamcast.
