How to switch from gamecube games to Wii

Im playing mario kart with my mom, yes my mom, and then i wanted to play wario ware smoothe moves, how do you get back to the Wii menu from the Gamecube game menu.

just hit the power button on the console. dont hold it just hit it and it will go to standby. then turn it back on.

Hmm thats what iv been doing, but its a pain it the ass to get up to the Wii when you want to change GC games.

Use the wii remote to power off then power back on, it works all the time for me

Hmm, i tryed that, and the lights on the wiimote just flashed, and nothing happened

Hold the button for something stupid like 10-15 seconds, believe me it does work cause I'm always turning my Wii on/off like this (without having to move)
