cant save in mario 64 daedalus

how can i save in mario 64 i've tried saving and continue and save and quiting and i see that it kept track of my stars, but when i exit daedalus it all goes back to nothing. i know you can save cuz i did once but i dont know how.
im using R11

Hmm, I've had the same problem. Are you exiting Daedalus just by pressing HOME while you're ingame. Then that's the problem. You have to quit the game by going back to Daedalus' main menu...then it should save automatically.
