    psp My PSP Question Thread

    -Introduction----
I've been coming here for almost 2 years now and I have to say that this is the best source for all my PSP needs. Before I start in on the sappy stuff though I want to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that I don't know everything about locating information outside of what results from Google, this sites help forum, and The Gamers Press. I've noticed that a lot of times apps are released for the PSP with little or piss poor explanation on how to install or operate them. It's very easy for a person to quickly accuse or flame someone for not doing a simple search when infact one has been done with uncertain results. Forgive me for my ignorance but when it comes to my expensive hardware, I don't do uncertainty. I am very hesitant to post questions on forums because either Admins, Mods, or senior members are usually quick to respond with a free side order of flame about doing a simple search on a subject that isn't as simple to the untrained eye. Unlike most people though, I am keeping an instruction log in my PSP folder in hopes to one day creating the ultimate How-To guide so I won't have to weed through pages of what would be to most as useless garbage.

I intend to only make one thread on how to install, use, or modify apps for my PSP and your reading it. I hope the majority of you can understand what I mean with this and hope that someone never deletes or closes this so I can come back and update with a new question at a later date.

    Now onto my questions.

    --------------------

I read the thread on changing the opening warning label to popstation but is it possible to get it to load like the PSX with the moving orange diamond and sound? If so please point me in the direction

When you load a PSX game it gives a warning screen

With help with a hex editor you can change that image as explained HERE

Is it possible to change that warning screen into the original Playstation loading screen? (The one before the PS logo)

You just extract the iso, then repack it with simple pops gui. It has those logos built in.

    I looked already....

    Does anyone own a PS1?
If so then turn it on.
That sound with the moving orange diamond right BEFORE the PS logo.
    That's what I'm talking about.

Is there anyway to implement that into pops so it will load JUST like the PS1?

The simple pops gui has THAT logo, just not the sound.

    Ok cool.
So I can assume that there is yet to be a way to implement the sound then?

If not then thank you anyways.
