Rev Team Xecuter to release their own WiiFree Kit

Since we announced the Xecuter Wiip2 project (finished design should be next week) we have had many requests to make an easy to install kit for the excellent WiiFree project that was cheap, reliable and good quality.

This kit will come in 2 flavours with and without a PIC programmer. Both kits will include a blank 12F629 PIC of which we have secured 10,000pcs at an excellent price.

Here are some pics. The low price will be confirmed in a few days.

We'll try and bring a full review to see the comparision with the WiiFree Easy Connect.

I have been looking into buying WiiFree Easy for a while but the fact that i cant find an english seller is very annoying, I hope this is about the same price and has a english seller, Then i will definatley order it.
Maybe a simple white box for the board that sits at the back would look alot nicer :P

Is this an external modchip or what?

See the chip with like nothing on it, that installs inside the wii, then you have the other chip connected to that chip but it sits outside the case because there isnt enough room inside.

English as in an english site or English as in UK?

http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=51085 or you can check http://www.wiifreeeasyconnect.com 's homepage and see their list of resellers

Yes and No. You will have to open the Wii up inorder to solder one of the boards. The other board is then placed outside. This outer board holds the modchip. This allows easy access to upgrade to newer firmware when available rather than having to open up the Wii each time.
