    what should i do after downgrading?

    install devhook or 3.03 OE-C (do i need both?)

    What I thought that 3.03 oe-c was about the same as 3.40 oe-a? Is it or is 3.40 oe-a better?

    Nope, It's good to stay on top of things, I'd go for 3.4.
