Nokia has introduced its first-ever Windows tablet, the Lumia 2520.
The rumours turned out to be true, a Nokia tablet has arrived, and it turns out @Evleaks was right with its tweet last month that claimed the new device would be called the Lumia 2520.
Spec leaks also turned out the be bang on the money, with the tablet confirmed as having a 10.1 full 1080p HD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and a ‘power keyboard’.
Other specs include 4G LTE, Windows RT 8.1, 2MP HD wide-angle camera and red, white, cyan and black colour variants.
The Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet is expected to start shipping in Q4 2013 with an estimated price of $499 (£309).
This wasn’t all that Nokia announced today. Although we didn’t see the six smartphones that were reportedly to be unveiled, it wasn’t far off. Along with the Lumia 2520 tablet, the firm unveiled details about two ‘phablets’ and three additions to its budget Asha range.
The Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 are Nokia’s first-ever large screen smartphones. The 1520 has a 6-inch 1080p full HD display, while the 1320 has a 6-inch 720p display.
The Lumia 1520 is expected to start shipping in Q4 2013 with an estimated price of $749, while the 1320 won’t ship until Q1 2014 and will cost around $339.
The Asha 500, 502 and 503 join Nokia’s budget mobile range. The 500 features a 2.8-inch screen and 2MP camera. The 502 has a 3-inch screen and 5MP camera with LED flash. The 503 features 3.5G connectivity, 3-inch screen, 5MP camera with LED flash and Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
All three mobiles come in single SIM and Easy Swap Dual SIM variants and are planned to start shipping in Q4 2013.
