i dont know if i missed something or what but
when harry, ron, and hermione escaped gringotts
griphook ran off with the sword of gryffindor. how did neville end up with it to kill the snake/horcrux?

neville pulled it out of the sorting hat after voldemort put the hat on neville and lit him on fire. it seems that as long as a true gryffindor pulls it out of the hat it doesnt matter wear it was before hand.
