Quake GameCube
Requirements
A Wii or GameCube.
A Datel SD Media Launcher or some other way of running programs from SD Card.
Installation
Copy Quake.dol to somewhere on your SD Card.
Copy the ID1 folder to the root of your SD Card.
Copy Quake's PAK0.PAK (and PAK1.PAK if you own the full version) into the ID1 folder on your SD Card.
Check that the ID1 folder and all files within it are named using only upper case.
Insert the SD Card and adaptor into slot 1 of your Wii or GameCube. Quake uses an SD Card library which is not compatible with slot 2.

Ooh I should add some notes:
The readme is a little out of date, sorry for missing out some of the testers. I think the Wiki has them all, but since TehSkeen went down I lost my PMs from the testers.
The resolution isn't actually selectable in this build. It's fixed at 640x480 for NTSC and 640x528 for PAL. However, the game runs faster now, at just over 30 FPS at 640x528, probably slightly higher for NTSC.
Sorry if there are problems with TV safe areas or font sizes - Quake was written for monitors, not televisions!
I don't think those screenshots are from the GC version - they look like GLQuake to me and the GC version uses software rendering.
Source code is available right now using Subversion.
I'm not sure I'll add hardware rendering since the game runs so well already and I'm getting bloody sick of Quake!
Anyway, enjoy the port guys!

Thanks man Ive managed to avoid the upgrade and still enjoy my Wii/GC homebrew
Good lord! I've only played a small section of this and i'm mightily impressed. I was expecting some jerky uncontrollable mess but the controls are tight, framerate smooth and saving your progress even works.
Good work fella and many thanks
Can I also play Mission Pack 1 "Scourge of Armagon" and Mission Pack 2 "Dissolution of Eternity" if I have those?
they should work as they use the same engine, I guess.
try them
hmm... quake on the wii... sounds nice, wish i had one though.
GLquake port next?
Maybe not "next" but perhaps some time in the future. I'm a bit sick of the Quake code by now!
