The "world's first" 3-in-1 laptop, desktop and tablet computer - the ASUS Transformer Book Trio - will arrive in the UK this month priced at £899.99.
The 11.6-inch PC, which combines a detachable Android tablet with a keyboard dock that can also be used as a self-contained Windows 8 desktop, will launch on November 11th. It will be available online from Amazon, Ebuyer and John Lewis.
Users can switch between Windows 8 and Android at the press of a button. It's powered by a 4th generation Intel CoreTM processor and the Android tablet has its own Intel AtomTM dual-core processor and 16GB of solid-state storage.
It has wide 178-degree viewing angles, 10-point capacitive multi-touch, a backlit keyboard and multi-touch touchpad ensures, stereo speakers, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 in the PC Station, plus 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 in the tablet display.
The Transformer Book Trio has up to 13 hours battery life in Android mode and five hours in Windows 8 mode.
