I dont really understand what you want.

If the light is red, then the wii is off (cant go on wiiconnect24)

If its yellow, the wii is on standby (wiiconect24 is activaited)

If the light is red, It cant change to yellow unless you connect.

Give your wii some room and it should not fry itself.

*shouldn't this be in the wii discussion*

if you hold the power button on the console long enough it will go into full standby[red light] which disables Connect24.

you can also turn off Connect 24 from the settings menu , which will mean that a single press of the power button will result in full standby mode [red light]

it shouldnt cause damage, but there is significant heat when running connect24 because the fans are disabled. it depends on whether you are comfortable with it running all the time. dont forget you should have a 1 year warranty so there shouldnt be a problem.

unfortunately not having connect24 enabled before startup will cause the channels which use it to be disabled until connect24 is enabled again.

I think update 3 fixed the fan not running problem while the console was in standby.
