    Question Best GPS for v0.5

Since Map This v0.5 is just mind blowing, I am going to buy myself a GPS.

I know PSP-290 is having some problems, but what about the others? I know many are wondering the same thing. There is also the Holux M1000 and Holux GPSlim 240.

I live in Jefferson City, MO. There are lots of hills here, but mostly wide open.

    I am using 3.52 M33-3

Well, I went with psp-290, and im not having any problems at all, especially since i live in denver, CO. As long as you have wide open skies, youll never have a problem picking up sats

i have psp-290 at first, then it slowly gives me fixed signal. one month later, i bought the Holux GPSlim 240, and it works very great. it's only half size of the M1000.

    there are somethings to consider.....

    power:
"the psp 290 is usb" powered vs "the gpslim is DC powered"

    addons
the psp 290 does not require any wire mod and the gpslim does

    cost:
the psp 290 is roughly $50-80 and the gpslim is roughly $100.

    choice:
    up to you.

And donīt forget that you cant use the PSP-290 with your PC but an external unit souch as Holux GpSlim236 with bluetooth you can connect with or without wires to a PC for future use. Its more dual purpose
