u dont even need to brick, just put the battery in and then it will load straight to the menu of the unbricker.

Well it says it'll boot up in any PSP so it should downgrade a 3.52. However, I read the readme and it says it installs a very basic version of 1.5, so upgrading to 3.52 M33 might not work...

This is awesome news. In one fell swoop, the people responsible for this software have allowed all PSP owners to unbrick their systems, given people the ability to install any firmware version they desire even if the firmware has no downgrader, made all web sites safer by rendering bricker programs nothing more than a minor annoyance, and (at least for now) made SONY's code blocking firmware updates far less effective.

Now, if only I could find some discarded bricked PSP systems to test this on...

I was at first lost and now i get it. About the u need a homebrew enabled psp. Do you have to have a brick or can you just pop the battery into a working one and it will work for lets say a downgrade?
