psp 360 Wireless Joypad Replacing PSPs

jay123_2 posted this nifty way of getting Wireless Xbox 360 Controllers working as your PSP Joypad, sounds great eh, read on:

hi peeps ive managed to set Extreme link 1.5.5 /usb Host/IR 3.6 To allow me to use my Xbox 360 Wireless joypad To Play games on the psp ive got a wireless reciver for pc to use all my 360 wireless accessories on it so i thought they had to be a way to use the IR shell to use wireless gamepad instead of a wired one

Here is a vid i made

was a bit tricky holding cam and using the 360 pad lol but anyways its all fun
i was playing Medievil Resurrection in the vid
good work on the new extreme 1.5.5
    thanks again
    jay

Update you can just use usbhostfs_PC_Win_1.5at and IR shell 3.6 providing you got a 360 pc receiver

    Run configure_joypad.exe in usbhostfs_PC_Win_1.5at
Config your Wireless joypad then save it in the same folder as usbhosts
    Then run usbhostfs_PC_Win_1.5at
Then run and link IR shell to pc via usbhost
    when connected
Your joypad should work a treat

Also drop your iso folder with ur games in the same folder as usbhosts or visa-versa then select directory view in ir shell then usbhost0:/
all your games be there ready to play with your wireless pad

    DIGG THIS

I just might have to try this considering I have a 360 controller and the wifi receiver for it.

Do you think it would be possible to use the wired xbox 360 controller and then somehow use wifi to control your psp like that? I know this would take time to develop but i think it would be cool.

EDIT:Oops i just saw that your using usb host to do this so i have 4 usb plugins on my computer so i could plug my 360 controller into one and then plug my psp into the other and hopefully it'll work.

This is a very great idea. I have to try this later on the PC.. and what kind of Wireless receiver do we need for this? I think that a wireless router should work,am I right?
Also,I would like to use the 360 as a Joypad for the PC. I heard it's easy, but I tried on the laptop and couldn't get it working, but maybe it is because I'm using Windows Vista here,I have hopes for the PC.
    Anyways..nice work with this. Thank God that I bought a 360! PSP + 360 = BOOM!!

You have to have a adapter for the wireless controller to connect to your pc. I tried the wired controller but i have the same problem as the person at the psp-hacks forum on that page. I have windows xp media center edition and it won't boot extreme link so ya...

It would be great if someone could figure out a way to make a bluetooth adapter that would plug into the PSP's mini usb port so we could use the SIXAXIS on it, or many SIXAXES. That, along with Remotejoy would turn the PSP into an unbelievable portable system.
