PS2 Memory Card

My ps2 doesn't recognize that the card is in its slot when trying to save a game. It does recognize with no game through the configuration screen though. What do you think the problem is?

You've been experiencing problems and errors with everything since you registered..

Anyway, what game are you trying to load?

Sometimes I have to sort of 'nudge' my MemCard left or right (Or up/down if the thing's vertical) for it to pop up as being plugged in. *shrug* Could be a simple solution.

'course if it's a 3rd party MemCard, that could concievably make a difference, too.

and the memory card turns out to be okay, whip the top off of it and make sure the peice of metal covering the back and part of the top of the card/pad slots Isn't squashed right up against the slots, pull it away as far as it will go gently, you should know when to stop...i had a prob with my memory card, wouldnt pick anything up in slot 1 until i did this
