Sure, you love your Nintendo DS. It's light, it fits in your pocket, and you can play it wherever you go, whenever you want... right? Well, wouldn't it be a little cooler if it were super-huge and you had to push two full-size kitchen tables together just to put it down somewhere? Okay, maybe we're exaggerating a little bit, but still, this mod from some DS enthusiasts is a huge -- literally and figuratively. Using two tablet PCs and some type of interface which allows the game system to be controlled by / displayed on the larger screens, these DS fans have created the ultimate antithesis to the original system -- for no apparent reason other than the fact that they could. Check the video after the break to see the madness in action.

WOW I want one that would be amazing for a lot of games but what about the d-pad and that?
It runs on a modified ds, so you can just use those controls.
me want! me want!
oh, me want tomorrow, gotta go sleepie sleeepie.
Superb! They can have a gold star for effort.
* <--- Theres the star for the effort! now to business how much we talking about here for the all stuff needed to do that >_> <_<
What about actually buying it I would pay a lot for that.
wow. it looks like they used modular LCDs for the screens and installed a touch membrane on the bottom. i didnt watch the video since im on dialup and have some other things to do, but hearing that it utilized a tablet PC leads me to think that the large touch screen is handled by the pc and the information is sent to the DS somehow. or the PC might be used to display video signals. idk.
i do remember that something similar was done with the original GBA. the mod put the GBA's video signal on a TV through a converter, and then through some simple wiring a connector was installed for using neo-geo AES pads.
