psp AFKIM: Instant Messenger for PSP v3.3.0 (latin1)

    Hi all,

Here is a new release of AFKIM (Away From the Keyboard Instant Messenger),
the instant messaging application for PSP written by Danzel !

My contribution to this projet is still MINOR, all credits should remain to Danzel
    (see http://localhost.geek.nz/)

    What's new then ?

    - Add iso 8859-1 font/characters compatibility (useful for french, spanish, german etc ... )
    - Add modified version of Danzeff Keyboard with iso 8859-1 characters
    - Code cleaning

Have a look to the file README-irkbd.txt for mapping informations etc ...

The IR keyboard part has been tested using a Targus Universal IR Wireless keyboard.

    Enjoy, Zx

    Yeah man!

Spanish fonts! I needed this. Awesome!

I'm latin and I'm always trying to type as perfect as I can, and without the á, é and such on AFKIM I couldn't type very well. Now with this I will.

    Thanks.

yes, msn, yahoo etc ... all protocols supported by bitlbee :

BitlBee currently supports the following IM networks/protocols: XMPP/Jabber (including Google Talk), MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM and ICQ.

Oh, thanks, by the way, I have heard that you need a homebrew loader to run it, erm, for a psp slim, any loaders in mind?

EDIT: Ok, I think i'm asking a stupid question, its included with the new customise firmware i can download.

    Hi, I have a problem with AFKIM 3.3.0 fw3x.

I am on PSP Slim 3.71 m33-4 fw. When I try to connect to the afkim service, I get "unable to resolve host" about 5 times, then it proceeds to turn off my psp.

    What is the issue?

I really wish I could use AFKIM and PSPIRC =(. They both would serve me very well.

Could it be because I'm running 333mhz? Would that affect it?
I know (as I posted in the other PSPIRC thread) the guy that had problems with PSPIRC connecting, he had network setting issues or either the way you handle the networking on program for psp.

He set his settings to auto, which resolved his problem, could be something easy as he just didn't have his settings right, but I know for fact that my network settings are right. They are done as manual, and I can not set to auto as the psp won't register my dns correctly.
