Default My PSP-290 won't work with the cable.

    Hello,
The title says it all really.I just got my cable from pc-mobile today and hooked my gps up to my psp.It won't work.It acts as if there's no gps connected at all.Is there something simple that I'm missing?

I have a PSP-1003(from Europe btw) and I have firmware versoin 3.52 M33-4.It works without the cable but it is slow at locking on.Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

Have you connected the left power pin of the GPS module to the contact on top of the psp?, If not then thats the reason it won't work

Thank you for your quick response.I'm using the cable so the gps won't be directly touching the psp.Unless you mean the power pin of the cable. In which case it's in as far as it will go.

could you post a picture of the set-up, if it's not recognising the 290 being connected at all then it's probably a loose connection, or less likely, incorrect PRX files.

also I'm assuming it's this cable?

Does the power pin on the male end of the cable stop the mini usb connector from being pushed into the socket all the way, it seems from the pictures that it may be the problem. other than that it would have to be a problem with the cable seeing as the 290 works when directly connected to the unit

Thanks again Nylon but the cables seems to be what's at fault. The male end goes in as far as any other mini usb end goes in.I have sent an email to pc-mobile and maybe they can help me.

Could it be that youre a TA-082 Mobo user and you havent cleaned your registrykeys on your PSP after running Custom Gameboots etc, check the last flashguide and download the second keycleaner i link to in it and see if that helps
