The board of 3G Studios has terminated its relationship with president Drew Markham.

"Mr. Markham had a history of creating best-selling franchises and we had faith in his ability to create original properties and form new strategic partnerships," said CEO James Kosta in a statment.

"However, after eight months we have found that a productive and creative relationship is unachievable. We're saddened to announce the Board's decision to end the relationship."

Markham was formerly the chief creative officer at Vivendi Games before joining 3G. He is also the founder of Grey Matter Studios.

3G Studios recently finished work on SWAT:Target Liberty for Vivendi (Sierra) Games and is working on an unannounced title for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. It also hopes to open a studio dedicated to Wii development.
