Nokia - who recently removed its Here mapping service from the App Store - has announced the launch of an update for the Lumia Black software for Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 owners around the world today.
The update brings a host of new features and improvements in imaging, apps and app updates plus much more.
App folder offers a smoother user experience by offering an option to further personalise and organise the devices start screen. Apps can be grouped into one folder for easier access.
Nokia Glance screen 2.0 helps keep track of information in real-time, making important notifications always visible at a glance on the screen.
Bluetooth LE is now enabled across the full Windows Phone 8 Lumia range, compatible with many gadgets.
Nokia Beamer lets the user share what’s on a device by ‘beaming’ documents, presentations, videos and more toany HTML5-enabled screen by scanning a QR code on the screen.
Nokia Storyteller arranges photos by date and place making it easy to tell the story behind the pictures.
Nokia Camera merges Nokia Pro Camera and Smart Camera to simplify the mobile photography experience. The update also brings raw DNG support for Lumia 1020 owners.
A series of enhancements will also be included in the update including safe driving mode, customised ringtones, ability to close apps in the multitasking view, and screen rotation lock.
The update is available now for the Lumia 1020 and 925, with other models in the range following in the coming weeks.
