Josh Berger, president and MD of Warner Bros UK, has told GamesIndustry.biz that new acquisition Traveller's Tales is already working on new titles, other than the recently detailed Lego Batman game.
When asked whether or not he was confident that the studio could build on its existing success on products other than the Lego franchise, he simply answered, "Unquestionably, they already are," - although there are no more details available at this stage.
Speaking on the reasons behind the GBP 100 million deal, Berger pointed to the company's track record to date.
"I think the Lego franchise was a living example of how talented they are, when you think of what they achieved with it.
"I think it was one of their crowning achievements, no question. It's not the only reason we're in business with them, but it's an example of what they're capable of, and we think they're capable of more along the same lines."
Additionally he stated that there will be no Warner Bros-led restructuring of the company in light of the acquisition.
"No, it's definitely going to be kept as it is for now. We went up there a couple of days ago, saw everybody and welcomed them to the Warner family, and told them quite clearly that they've got a good formula for great success, and we're not ones for going in and changing all that around."
On the topic of further acquisitions, Berger wouldn't be drawn, but admitted that there may be more to come.
"We're interested in being a substantial player in this space. I think with the Traveller's Tales deal and some other associations that we've got, we're now in that space.
"I wouldn't be surprised to see other things happen, but we're only going to make other deals when they're right, they fit in with the strategy and they're a good fit for us - but nothing to announce at the moment."
