hi just got my m1200 today. and installed mapthis on my 3.90 m33.

need some help making it work. the gps is functioning properly and flashes 1/sec. i made a map of so.cal. is that to big?

mapthis program doesn't seem to be fixed or locking onto any satellite. but the gps unit itself is working.

check "GPS Info" screen to see if ou get any data there.. Is the gps clock changing?
Check config.txt file to make sure you have the right settings for the device & baud..
Did you make the serial cable yourself ? if so - that can be another source of your problems..

You should describe in greater detail what your setup is and what type of problem you are experiencing (i.e. does it exit with an error message, code, etc)
Over wise, it's really hard to suggest anything but generic: "Read the stickies!"

The deal with the hosting here is - they want new people to register to get stuff...

The program works pretty well in my PSP.
But I have a suggestion for deniska and Nieko for the future update of the program. Is it possible to calculate a route POI file automatically from current position to a maker or a specified POI without Wifi as most of the commercial GPSs do. Because in most of the case people just want to find the route when they are already on the car and some time people can miss the way point.

There's a topic somewhere about this already, search for "geoline.dat".
