The update will introduce new features alongside the standard performance tuning.
Sony Mobile has announced that it will be introducing an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean upgrade to its Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V smartphones, reports Cellular News.
The Jelly Bean update will merge the software to offer new features along with the existing standard performance tuning.
This will be the next step in Sony’s re-entry as a major player in the mobile market – as it realises the worth of this sector of its business.
It will also be renewing its whole native app portfolio to the latest versions – these apps will include messaging, smart connect, small apps, TrackID as well as Sony Select.
A custom interface unique to Sony, Xperia Themes including downloadable UI packs will be launched at the same time, and the software upgrade will include a completely updated version of Sony’s power management app.
Launch dates will vary depending on market and network.
