Darklotuslay, i dont know if you realise, if you dont know someone running custom firmware then your not going to get anywhere

    There are alternatives though

you could either take the battery apart and make a "pandoras battery", personally thats kinda hard if you dont know what your doing

or you could buy a battery tool

    http://www.ubid.com//cgi-bin/div-u...sp-btool2.html

and all you need to do then is make the magic memory stick

    and your good to go

Increase the processor speed on psp to 333 and try that if not stop anything thats running in the background on your pc as they could be using system resources.

So does it not ask for drivers for psp type b, the beeps could mean it needs drivers, the only thing that will show is the drivers needed screen nothing else, and are you running vista or xp cos xp is best for this, post back and we can get it sorted

im running vista and i tried it before but i didnt know what to do and it kept saying "failed" after i chose the wrong drivers sorted and now when i try it nothing at all pops up and all it does is those really low beeps which I have no idea mean. It doesnt ask for anything at all not even a screen comes up...maybe vista is the problem but it showed the screen before...

You could try going into device manager on pc and deleting the psp type b drivers from there ad then re-try again from the begining

Ok, i didnt find anything that said "PSP type B" but i did find something that i dont remember installing or anything on my computer and it was in the section the PSP type B probably would have been and it said that it couldn't work so i got rid of it and now the computer does absoutley nothing when i run PSPlink

edit: oh wait! I enabled the pulgins and now it works!!! yes!
