A new report suggests that Apple's next flagship smartphone will be released in September.
According to Japanese publication Nikkei Asian Review, display panel contractors of Apple are now ramping up production to meet the iPhone 6’s target of a September launch, which would be in keeping with launch of the iPhone 5 (September 2012) and the iPhone 5S (September 2013).
The report claims that the new device will likely be offered in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models.
Manufacturers have allegedly begun making fingerprint sensors and chips for liquid-crystal drivers.
Previous rumours suggest that the iPhone 6 will only come in a 4.7-inch version, and a 5.6-inch smartphone will be unveiled alongside it, but will not carry the brand name.
Other spec rumours include a 10MP camera, 1600x900 resolution display, and humidity, pressure and temperature sensors.
