Sorry for the noobie question, but is the 1.5 kernal thing only for PSP 1000? If so, is a version for PSP 2000 ever going to come out?

Nope PSP 2000 ahve been designed so 150 kernal cannot be run on them...

it works on either due to the way it update it picks up the hardware and installs the correct version but if you have a fat you should get the 1.5 addon.

Installing now, but I am wondering, will us on Fat PSPs who install this, have Skype? If not, that really sucks, since that would in essence be the only reason why I want it.

Great no Skype... That blows, only damn reason I wanted this stupid firmware. Looks like I have to buy a Slim if I want Skype.. >:[
