Titanfall debuted at No.9 on the Japanese software chart during the week ended April 6.
The Xbox 360 version of the game was one of six new releases to make the top ten, with the PS3 and Vita versions of Namco's 3rd Super Robot Wars Z heading the chart.
On the hardware front, weekly sales of all platforms declined, but Vita managed to leapfrog 3DS to claim the top spot after Nintendo's handheld suffered a sharper drop, according to data from retail monitor Media Create, which was republished on NeoGAF.
