Default Star Wars Battlefront II PSP

    Source http://psp.ign.com/articles/641/641661p1.html

We've got the skinny on Star Wars Battlefront II PSP, the hot Lucas Arts adventure that's hoping to make a splash with console and handheld gamers. The game is being developed for PSP along side the other platforms, packing a nice amount of keen features to push the Sony handheld. Savage Entertainment/ Pandemic Studios looks as though their trying to provide as rich an experience on the small scale you'd expect on the big consoles. With what they've got so far, it looks as though they may accomplish their goals.

In keeping with the theme of most PSP games these days, this iteration of Battlefront is designed for gamers on the go. With that in mind, players can approach the game through Instant Action, a mode that serves-up 12 quick maps to battle in. This was in the original Battlefront, but it serves the nature of the PSP well. You'll battle across Mustafar, Hoth, Dagobah, and high above Coruscant. The whole goal is to take over planets one by one, and to eventually rule the galaxy in the name of your own faction: Rebels, Imperials, Separatists or the Clone Troopers.

The meat of the game is the single-player campaign where players can choose to be a Rebel, Imperial Guard or Mercenary. Each tour of duty has up to five missions available. The Rebel campaign plays like a capture-the-flag game where you're fighting to rescue comrades. As an Imperial Enforcer, you're task is to travel through-out the galaxy and wipe out Gungans, Jawas, Wookies, and Ewoks. The most sinister campaign perhaps is that of the mercenary where you travel across four maps, killing important figures for money.

Players that are looking for more than a single player experience can battle it out on multiplayer through ad hoc. Up to four people can play one another on their own PSP, or pass-the-rock style if there's only one PSP is available.

The final game will have over 30 vehicles, 5 classes for each of the four factions, and 12 battlefronts to unleash utter havoc on. Star Wars Battlefront II PSP is set to release November 1, 2005. We've got new screens for you to check out so hit up the media gallery and get a look.
