Funcom has responded to reports that its MMO Age of Conan on Xbox 360 will be out 12 months after the PC version, calling the time period a "rough estimate".

"We can't commit to a specific date", product manager Erling Ellingsen told us on the back of reports of the potential date coming out of GDC last week. "It might be sooner, it might be later."

All Funcom can say at this moment in time is that the Xbox 360 version will ship after the PC iteration, Ellingsen added - which we knew anyway.

On PC, Age of Conan is out on May 20. The game's caused ripples in the MMO community with its implementation of action-adventure style real-time combat.

Originally it was due out toward the end of last year, but Funcom held it up mainly to fine tune the combat system.
