Resellers recently reported about the increasing difficulty in restocking the $199US 4GB iPod Mini. Analysts expect Steve Jobs to revamp the iPod Mini offerings at the Apple Expo in Paris. The consensus is that the 4GB iPod Mini will be phased out in favor of the newer 6GB and 8GB models that will most likely include color screens and photo viewing capabilities. Hitachi and Seagate, hard drive suppliers for the iPod Mini, have recently announced 8GB versions of their 1GB micro drives.
