Playstation 3 firmware version 2.17 has been released

Sony has today released version firmware version 2.17 for the Playstation 3. You can download it from the website for your region or from your console in Network Update under Settings. It's nothing special though, here is the quote extract from the UK site shown below:


Main features in system software update version 2.17

• The operating stability of some PLAYSTATION 3 format software has been improved.

Well it wont hurt to wait.

I dont really play my PS3 too much anymore. So i can wait to see if that evolves.

Already updated, ISO loaders are not something to be happy about.

Not that i-load even seems real, why have 10 days until release if it works?

thats not going to happen anytime soon. Definately not officially . Even if i-load is real it doesnt seem elegant.

full XMB intergration would be amazing , but even PS1 support seems farfetched... officially or not.

Its been released in the US already so I can assure you it is real.
