newbie question

hi. i just bought a psp gps 290 on ebay. i don't know how to set it up. i know that you have to download mapthis, but don't know which site to trust. i currently have 3.50 on psp. do i still need to downgrade it in order for the maps to work?

can someone send me a link on how to set up the gps? i tried searching them here in the site and found nothing.

it says on the boards that i need a psp 3.40 oe-A in order for the map to run. i have 3.50. i need help on how to change it from 3.50 to 3.40 oe-A. thanks
