wow that's a lot, but I don't think I would get one
Remember all the fun you had standing in line to get a Wii because Nintendo couldn't put them out fast enough? Sweet, because if you want an iPhone, you're going to get to do it all over again.
On top of no pre-orders, Merrill Lynch (respectable analysts, but analysts nonetheless) is estimating that Apple will only be punching out around 200-300 thousand iPhones a month initially before speeding up to a million by the end of the year, for a total of four million shipped this year.

keep in mind this is what goes into the shops, not what is actually sold to people. The fact these go into the distribution chain does not automatically mean people will buy them. Certainly some will even if LG phone is exactly the same not to mention Sony walkmans that make more sense to me anyway....
This is the same type of calculations M$ use when bragging about 100M sales of Zunes. Not really true.
The fact they ship it to the distribution chain does not quite give any indication about real end-user sales...
Apple has done midnight sale at Apple Store before

Pfff I say - we won't officially see the iPhone here in New Zealand until 'sometime' in 2008. Yes, 2008. It sometimes sucks to live so far from the action. Ok, most of the time.
the iphone sucks ass don't buy it you will just waste your money buying things from apple
Yeah for that kind of money i would rather get a PS3.
