Apple’s iWatch will start production this month in time for a September release, an analyst has claimed.
Citing discussions he had with an anonymous ‘technology supply chain company’ source (via UberGizmo (http://www.ubergizmo.com/2014/06/iwatch-components-to-enter-production-this-month-analyst/?utm_source=mainrss&utm_reader=feedly)), Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald said that production of initial components for the long-rumoured wearable device will begin later in June, before accelerating to meet the Q4 release date.
White described the iWatch as a ‘companion device’, stating that the smartwatch would require a connection to an iPhone to function.
He added that the release of the next generation of the iPhone – the iPhone 6 – would accompany the iWatch’s announcement.
