UPDATE 7.30pm After the reveal of Rise of the Tomb Raider (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-06-09-tomb-raider-reboot-sequel-rise-of-the-tomb-raider-announced) during Microsoft's press conference, Square Enix's other trademark revealed earlier today has indeed been outed as a Guardian of Light sequel.Revealed on GameTrailers (http://www.spike.com/netstorage/e3/live.html) (thanks, NeoGAF (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=833952)), the title will again be an isometric affair, with four-player co-op.ORIGINAL STORY 8.35am Square Enix has trademarked two new Tomb Raider titles just days before E3, suggesting we may hear what's next for Lara Croft before the week is out.http://images.eurogamer.net/2013/articles/1/6/8/3/5/6/1/square-enix-trademarks-point-to-new-tomb-raider-game-reveal-140229957606.jpg/EG11/resize/300x-1/quality/80/format/jpg
The publisher snapped up LaraCroftandtheTempleofOsiris.com and RiseoftheTombRaider.com last Friday (thanksSuperannuation (https://twitter.com/supererogatory/status/475682242048425984)).Both URLs currently only load blank pages. We know that a sequel to last year's Tomb Raider reboot is in development (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-01-17-tomb-raider-finally-achieved-profitability-by-the-end-of-last-year) at Crystal Dynamics, and is now in full swing after the launch of the studio's successful (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-03-06-tomb-raiders-reboot-exceeded-profit-expectations-after-all) Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. But the wording of the "Temple of Osiris" title sounds more similar to Square Enix's isometric Guardian of Light spin-off. It's possible that we'll see another small downloadable game in the series before the next big console remake.
