In an announcement at this weekend's Moto GP race in Jerez, Capcom revealed that it has secured exclusive rights to the series and will be producing a game to coincide with the 2008 season for all current major formats.
Capcom has already tentatively dipped its toes into the Moto GP pool, publishing the somewhat-underwhelming Moto GP 07 for the PlayStation 2, which registered a 5.5 upon its review last year. We were unable to confirm whether that game's developer Milestone would be responsible for the next batch of titles based upon the motorcycle series, but having secured the exclusive rights expect a more concerted effort across the board.
