New guy who wants to buy a psp!

hey guys,

I am new at all this psp homebrew, and i came across mapthis, now to try it out i want to buy a psp, as i was reading i read that 1.50 kernal is needed to run map this( please correct me if i am wrong) so would it be best to buy a used fat psp or a new slim one,

Hey,

I am sorry, but i guess i have got another noob question, so if we are using a generic gps device just the two wires with a resistor enough to connect the gps to the psp?, or is there something else that complicates the process?

I was doing a bit of reseaech and found out that the serial connection in the phats and the slims are some what different, how can we find the pins that are to be connected in the case of a psp slim?

sorry to bug you guys with my noob questions again, but i think i found the answere but not sure, there is a cheap bluethooth gps reciver up on ebay ( which is not holux) but it runs on NMEA 0183, i read that mapthis supports gps recivers running on NMEA, but since this is not holux is it worth spending money on something lyk this
