In VGB-Android 4.2.7 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgb), released today, I started improving the save/restore functionality, the way users asked me to. The new release lets you assign custom keys for the Freeze, Restore, and Replay functions. So, if you have got a gamepad with many extra keys, you now have something to do with them in VGB. Also, some users complained that it is really easy to overwrite a saved state by mistake. To fix that, the new VGB comes with the "Confirm Freezing State" option. When enabled, it requires you to click the "Freeze" button twice to save state.
Finally, ZIP files should now work for people with Kitkat devices, while Xperia Play owners will appreciate the ability to assign functions to their "O" button.
Added custom key assignments for freezing, restoring, and replaying gameplay.
Added "General | Confirm Freezing State" option for people who tend hitting "Freeze" by mistake.
Fixed support for .ZIP files stored on Kitkat SD cards.
Now allowing to remap the "O" button on Xperia Play gamepad.
The "REWIND" hardware key now replays recent gameplay.
The "RECORD" hardware key now freezes gameplay state.
The "PLAY" hardware key now restores gameplay state.
No longer showing box art for .ZIP files, as we cannot identify them.
Moved "Screen Orientation" option to the "Video" tab.
Reordered items in the "Video" tab.
