Capcom Japan announced today a final Japanese release date for Biohazard 0, also known as the GameCube to Wii port of Resident Evil 0 that may or may not see international release.

In Japan, the game will hit retail on July 10. Capcom is pricing it at 4,190 yen, making it 1/3 less than most new Wii titles.

From what's been made public so far, it looks like this is a pretty bare-bones port, so the pricing may be appropriate.

If it's a bare bones update, what's the point?

I found the gamecube version for like 500 Yen ($5) when I was in Japan and like $8 when I cam back home. Waggle control reloading is not much rationale to spend and extra $35 bux.

A RE4 style over the shoulder redo would be a total score though.

I'd have to agree with the above post.

I had re0 for gamecube, and by all means it was a great game. But there is nothing notably better about a wii port. None of the resident evil games bar re4 have used precision aiming, and zero would not benefit from the pointer. And a waglan gimmick just isn't worth a $50 purchase. I don't know if you can still find it, but a few months ago i saw resident evil remake + zero bundles for $20.
