News/release from Art:

Hi Guys,
Since upgrading all of my PSP units to 3.52, I decided to make some alteration to X-Flash
so that it could be run on these units with limited functionality so that I could still
use the features that aren't firmware dependent. This means that the program has a new
option to be run without any firmware version checking at all, but it's still a 1.50 kernel
mode program, and I don't know if it will start, or how it will behave with newer firmwares,
or running under Time Machine. I have only tested it with 3.52 M33-3 which is one of the
last true 1.50 kernel mode hybrid firmwares.

The option to skip version checking disables MOST of the original functionality, although the
menu still operates the same, you will not be allowed to select firmware dependent features.

This may be liked for nostalgic purpose, or as in my case, it may still be useful for some of
the generic features such as firmware dump, changing gameboots, and plain black backgrounds.
All file writes are still verified.

Some new functionality may be implemented into a future version of X-Flash.
Donate a 32Mb Memory Stick to see your name appear in a special X-Flash greetings screen
which will include the nicknames of previous Memory Stick donators.

Cheers, Art.

X-Flash!!?

This is a classic! I've been waiting for a new release of X-Flash for ages. I thought it was gone for good, this is indeed a surprise.

Thanks Art, nice to see you working on this.

I hope you upgrade your PSPs to 3.90 M33 so you can release a new X-Flash. :p

Wow. This is one of the first apps I ran when really getting into homebrew and customization. I'm sure all older psp homebrew enthusiasts remember it. Great app. I don't think there is quite as much use for this anymore but this was one of the apps that made hacking awesome. What ever happened to when this was exciting and fun?

You need to delete the file theme.xf and try again.
Press square at the disclaimer screen this time.

If you press CROSS, the config is written so it is still effectively X-Flash V18k.
