Misaligned Laser?

Hey there, i've been running my Wii 100% fine but i decided to bring it to my friends house, didn't bring the stand since it didn't fit in my bag, had it playing upright and well, friend bumped it, knocked over and well yeah. It worked for a few minutes fine but then after a while i started getting disc read errors on all my games. Well, it gets into them (loads slower than usual) and then it decides to give me a bunch of disc read errors. Which.. yeah also i got some deep radial scratches on the SBBB disc <-- see! a reason to back up games! :O i'm not just paranoid!

Would that just be a misaligned laser? If so... how would i go about realigning it? or would you reccomend a laser or drive replacement?

Sounds like you might have broken a solder joint on your modchip.

Maybe the drive is broken? Prehaps see if Nintendo can fix it if you're lucky enough to have it repaired under warranty.
