Well I've been wanting to do a public beta for Resonate for a while. So here it is. But the main level is challenging and overall it is looking pretty good. What I really need is some good user levels and to finish the options in the online menu.

Resonate is a fast paced undersea rail shooter. Your goal is to evolve into
a thresher shark and become king of the ocean. On normal difficulty the
player starts as a Sea Urchin (level 2). Hit the blue striped
targets to collect evolution up. Collect eight and move up a level to Sea
Horse (level 3). Miss a target that collides with you and move down to
Zooplankton (level 1). If you’re hit too many times, the adventure ends
and you need to try again.

Features

- five hero forms: Zooplankton, Sea Urchin, Seahorse, Stingray, Thresher Shark
- high score tracking for each game
- enemies in various attack formations
- three kinds of power ups
- level editor for Windows, Linux or MacOS based on fltk and OpenGL

I'm looking for suggestions to consider, and of course people to be level editors to make new levels.

Freekin sweet man! This game is so awesome! :D I love how you evolve too, it reminds me of Evo: Search for Eden, an old SNES Square Enix game.

Sorry, the online highscores isn't quite finished yet.

The tip to get a little further in the main level is to specifically target that first creature in each segment of the level. Hold X just above and to the left of the seahorse. The targeting system will take care of the rest.

The part that died was the weak part. Now you are stronger. lol Yea I started recoding AniMayhem in C++, and it was coming along very nicely, but theres some instability in loading different images every few minutes, so I either have to find a way to make it more stable, or reduce the amount of playable characters ;_;

I posted some fresh screenshots on my blog. The online score sharing is quite close to being done. I just have to get the last bugs out, and then I guess I'll post an update.
