Over at PSPGadgetz they have screens of Sonys new official PSP Cradle with remote, tv out and more.

they need some sort of AV out option for the phat..
too bad the hardware wont support it

I use the video out for movies on mine all the time so I may very well import one if it comes to it.

there was an AV out option for the Phat before there even WAS a slim...

it just involves a somewhat pricey mod ;)

that is unless you got the kind that you strapped on to the PSP on top of the screen :eek:


so there you go. 2 AV out options for the Phat before there ever was a slim.

My take?... the whole concept takes the whole PORTABLE out of PSP. I got the component cables for my slim. Used them once. might not use them again.

Still a nice way to take a bunch of movies to someone's house and watch them on their TV.

2 AV out options for the Phat
Yeah, one was crap for one reason, and the other was crap for another reason.

I can fit like 3 full dvd quality movies on my psp that look great through the video out. I use the video out at least once a week!

your wrong, its for slim only
and sony is actually doing like the apple's ipod and microsoft zune with cradles to hear music with remote... since the ipod is so popular, third parties made cradles for such devices.... so basically sony is doing the same thing to the slim psp...
its a lovely device and as for me, i will buy it...
oh! and as far as i can see for this device... the controller has all the butons. so i guess we can make a wireless controller for the psp either via IR or a device like those wireless remote controls for the ps2
just a simple idea or theory ;P

Slim only until I get hold of it.

As long as the only difference in headphone remotes is the plug,
then that is easily modified.
Of course I don't expect the fat PSP to fit in the cradle,
but the IR receiver should be able to be housed in a jiffy box
with a wired plug.
